In 1971 I was working in Geneva shooting for Investers Overseas Services (IOS). A company that wanted me to shoot conferences and meetings, among other things.
My shooting could only be done during business hours, from 9-5. That left me free to shoot from 7-9.
I remembered wandering around the Geneva Train Station on an earlier trip. I had a great time shooting there, as I always do at train stations.
People don't seem to object to shooting. It’s accepted that photos will be taken.
I went there every morning and enjoyed the great light, the graphics of the trains, and the interaction of people.
By the way, the same thing is true for bus stations, airports, and any place where people gather en masse while traveling.
Of course, it helps to try to be invisible as much as possible.
